BEGINNINGS

The origin story of Tru Turquoise really begins with that of another - our first business, Prairie Sky Jewelry Co.

LEGACY

Inheritances of Native American jewelry carry the weight of generational stories, weaving together past, present, and future. Each piece, handed down through your family, becomes a cherished heirloom, preserving not just the beauty of craftsmanship, but the essence of familial ties and cultural heritage for generations to come.

OUR STORY

Just over ten years ago, we started our own brand of handcrafted jewelry, Prairie Sky Jewelry Co. Many late nights at the silver bench culminated in the opening of our own retail store in Pawhuska, OK. Having been published in Cowboys & Indians, British Vogue, & Vanity Fair UK, we've enjoyed great success with this brand, but have always felt a pull toward something more.

Years of bootstraps-business-building have left us with countless incredible friends in the jewelry industry, many of whom are Native artists. It seems a natural next step to honor these connections with Tru Turquoise - a sister brand focused entirely on showcasing the incredible craftsmanship of Native American Artists.

Purchasing authentic Native American jewelry directly supports indigenous communities, providing economic opportunities and helping to sustain traditional artisanal practices. Additionally, owning and wearing authentic Native American jewelry can help to foster a deeper appreciation for Native American culture and heritage. Collecting Native American jewelry is not only about owning beautiful adornments but also about honoring and preserving the invaluable legacy of indigenous peoples.

At Tru Turquoise, we're passionate about building and honoring these legacies with you.
